Joined: 13 Nov 2006 Messages: 16 Thanks Received: 0 Location: Cheshire Country: Hi, I have removed a doorbell when decorating,i drew the wiring diagram but yes i lost it.

My first, nice to be here. I apologize if this question has been asked before, I did search but could not find a situation like mine. We are moving into a new townhouse and the doorbell was not working when I tested it. I am not sure of the age of the town house, but I think it was probably built in the late 60's. The wiring for the doorbell is like this: Transformer is downstairs, visible. There is a 2 conductor wire (black and white wires) going from it to the chime area. Cscope windows 7.

There is a second 2 conductor wire going from the chime area to the front door push. I have toned out the wires with my tone kit and they are all fine. I have an old Friedland chime. Torrent widi crack macromedia flash. It has 4 terminals labeld 0 through 3. I have located wiring diagrams for it and it sort of makes sense.

However, when I wired it like the diagram shows me the chime buzzes electrically. It might even be toast. So I figured I'd grab another chime. Easy enough, and I have one, but the wiring diagram on it shows a straight run from the transformer to the button.

Well I don't have that. I am sure I am just overlooking something silly. If someone could help me I'd appreciate it.

The Evo products operate at the 434MHz frequency and the the Libra+ range operate at the new 868MHz less crowded frequency. All doorbells in the Libra+ range can be clipped onto a small bracket (supplied) on a wall, or removed at will, to operate as a battery portable. All products in all ranges have good quality sound and are normally supplied with between 2 to 7 inbuilt chime sounds.

We allow you to sample the sounds on our website when you link to the doorbell specifications of each model. A strong feature of the wireless ranges are the high quality and attractiveness of the bell push buttons. Within the the Libra+ range there are where 2 chimes can be rung from a single bell push, and within the Evo and Libra+ range there are chime kits that include a wired to which can be used to link to a traditional wired bell push button, or extend a wired bell system. There are also systems, which in all cases can be powered by either batteries, or connected to the mains via a transformer.

The transformer should have an 8va/c output, and supply 1 amp. We supply the model to suit.
